GENERAL MEMBERSHIP

This membership was designed for competing members. The cost is $55.00 for each horse. These membership fees give the person the opportunity to try to qualify for the Finals on each horse. A person nominating a horse has one voting privilege regardless of how many horses she/he may have nominated, plus she/he will receive a monthly newsletter that provides updates on ACBRA scheduled barrel races and news.

The ACBRA is primarily broken up into four categories based on a horse’s lifetime earnings.  Earnings are comprised of any monies won barrel racing, including organizations such as CHSRA, NCJRA, CCPRA, WPRA and all futurities, as well as other jackpot associations.  In the Under 1000, Under 3500, Under 7500 and Open categories the membership is on the horse.  Which category he/she is membered in is determined by his/her lifetime winnings at the time of membership.  The member shall remain in that category for the entire season, even if the winnings surpass the category allowance.  Our fifth category is the Junior.  In the Junior, the member is actually a horse and rider combination.  That means to earn points and/or attendances, the member and horse who signed up together must run together.  Additionally, even though the Junior is based on the rider's age, the applicant is still required to provide an amount for the horse's lifetime earnings.
